From here start your journey to the sacred Amarnath Cave also called as Baba Barfani, which is situated at an altitude of 3800m. The cave, located in Lidder Valley, is surrounded by glaciers, snowy mountains and is covered with snow most of the year, except for a short period of time in summer when it is open to pilgrims. On arrival at baltal begin Amarnath Yatra. Take a helicopter ride till Panchatarini, from here trek for total 6 + 6 kms. Notes: Helicopter ride is subject to weather condition . In case the Helicopter ride gets cancelled, guest can either do trekking, which will be apprx 14 + 14 km OR can hire doli / poni ride at an additional cost.
